Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser therapy options often include ablative fractional resurfacing lasers and intense pulsed light (IPL) to remove outer layers of skin that have been damaged by sun exposure or premature photoaging from other UV sources. Brown spots and wrinkles on the hands can be improved via laser treatments. The heat generated in deep tissues from laser resurfacing also stimulates collagen and elastin production for plumper skin as well.
Hand Rejuvenation Treatment
How it works
IPL is an intense light that is absorbed by pigment. The initial treatment breaks up surface melanin and causes it to peel off. Subsequent treatments reach into the deeper layers and break up "immature" brown spots so the body can sweep them away internally.
The best results in patients are those achieved with a combination of therapies, including the injections of polycapralactone and use of lasers. If the hand skin has wrinkles and skin thinning, then the use of the gentle Fraxel laser with low density settings used every four to six weeks gives rapid healing usually only one day of mild redness. This will stimulate tissue below the skin surface to produce more collagen and elastin with tightening of wrinkle skin leaving a smoother, more youthful hands.
There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self.
