Non-Invasive Techniques for Youthful Skin
At some point in our lives, we all start to notice the signs of aging on our skin.
For some of us, it’s earlier than others. Whether it’s wrinkles, fine lines, or age spots, we all have our own unique concerns when it comes to the health and appearance of our skin.
But here’s the good news: you don’t have to go under the knife to achieve youthful-looking skin! These days, there are a number of non-invasive techniques that can help achieve desired results with little to no downtime. So whether you’re looking to smooth out fine lines, improve skin tone and texture, or get rid of unwanted hair, there’s a non-invasive option for you.
Learn more about three popular non-invasive techniques for youthful skin.
Microdermabrasion is a MINIMALLY INVASIVE technique that uses a small device to sand away the top layer of dead skin cells. This can help improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and other minor skin imperfections. Microdermabrasion is usually performed as a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart.
Laser Skin Resurfacing
Laser skin resurfacing is another MINIMALLY INVASIVE technique that uses beams of light to target specific areas of the skin. This can help improve the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, scars, and other blemishes. There are two types of laser resurfacing: ablative and non-ablative. Ablative lasers remove the top layer of skin while non-ablative lasers work below the surface of the skin without damaging the top layer. Laser resurfacing is usually performed as a series of treatments spaced a few weeks apart.
Botox injections are a NON-INVASIVE option for reducing the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines by temporarily paralyzing the muscles that cause them. Botox injections are usually performed every 3-6 months as needed.
Chemical peels are an INVASIVE option for improving the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, and other blemishes by removing the top layer of skin. Chemical peels come in three different depths: superficial, medium, and deep. Superficial peels only penetrates the very top layer of skin while deep peels penetrates all layers of skin. Chemical peels are usually performed every 4-6 weeks as needed.
Dermal fillers are an INVASIVE option for adding volume to specific areas of the face such as the lips or cheeks by injecting them with filler material such as hyaluronic acid or collagen. Dermal fillers typically last 6-12 months before needing to be refreshed.
Thanks to recent advances in technology, achieving youthful looking skin doesn’t have mean going under the knife anymore! There are now a number ranging from minimally invasive to non-invasive techniques that can help achieve desired results with little to no downtime!
